Introduction: Are you ready to dig deeper into a fascinating time in history? Your quest will take you into the lives of those who experienced the Salem Witch Trials.
Task: You will create an interview to report the events of the Salem Witch Trial from the person assigned to you. Find your partner in the class who has the same person. You will have one of the following people: Betty Parris, William Griggs, Rev. Cotton Mather, Abigail Williams, Tituba, Giles Corey, Ann Putnam, Governor Phipps, Rebecca Nurse, or Sarah Good.
Process: You will spend 2 class days on the computer looking for information. (4 days total for this project) • Day 1, you may explore and find information all about the Salem Witch Trials. Look up anything you want about the Salem Witch Trials based on what you find interesting on the websites. Stay on the websites listed below. Use Rollyo to search websites about the Salem Witch Trial. • Day 2, you will need to start recording information and finding out some details about your assigned person. Talk to your partner about your strategy for recording information. • Day 3, you will write your interview with your partner. Your interview must include questions that ask who, what, where, when, why, and how. Include questions that show your person's observations and point of view. • Day 4 you will either turn in your interview or perform it in front of the class.
